What to wear on a ski trip – A stylish weekend at Hotel Tannenhof

When? March 2017
Why? I was very lucky to be invited out to the luxury Hotel Tannenhof in the Austrian ski resort of St Anton. The stylish boutique hotel set at 1350 metres above sea level, comprises of 7 super chic suites, each commanding spectacular views of the slopes and beyond.
St Anton is renowned for it’s picturesque scenery and amazing apres ski scene, so where better to road test some of Sweaty Betty’s latest gorgeous ski range. Keep scrolling to see my photo diary of this beautiful hotel, what to wear on a ski trip and how to look good when you hit the slopes…

Hotel Tannenhof is Europe’s smallest and most prestigious five star hotel hidden away in the exclusive hills of Nasserein on the outskirts of trendy St Anton.
From the moment the hotels Masseratis come to pick you up at the airport, fully stocked with a basket full of champagne, water, sandwiches and chocolates for the weary traveller, to walking into the uber stylish suites with chic Tyrolian decor, you know this trip is all about luxury and being pampered.
With an award winning chef, a brand new sophisticated gym, spa and range of hot tubs and saunas on site, everything about this hotel oozes comfort, luxury and understated elegance.

What to wear on a ski trip…

Hitting the slopes, whilst trying to look on trend for the season can be a daunting task. One rule of thumb I always swear is that whatever you choose to wear, the most important factor is practicality and functionality. You could look amazing and channel Bond girl vibes, but if your base layers are soggy from the snow / rain and your ski jacket and trousers aren’t properly waterproof you’re going to a have a miserable experience.
This season I opted for the Sweaty Betty all in one ski suit. If like me you’ll be spending a lot of time on your bum after a fall, an all in one is perfect for keeping you dry all over. It also looks really cool and is a bit of an on-piste trend at the moment. Think retro ski bunny inspiration.

The Suites
There are 7 exquisitely appointed super suites at the Tannenhof. When we stayed, the hotel was at full capacity but you hardly noticed anyone else was there at all. There’s a real air of exclusivity and privacy here, which is maybe why so many a-listers, VIP and royal guests choose to stay.

Its all about the treats
The Tannenhof loves to spoil its guests. Every time I returned to the suite after a day of skiing there would a mini gift or treat awaiting me in the room. From bottles of champagne and nibbles to homemade honey pots and beautifully branded hotel merchandise.

The Decor
The interiors of the rooms are an elegant blend of  traditional Tyrolian style meets modern luxury. Colours are natural and muted with textured, soft furnishings throughout to create a warm and relaxing environment.
From pillow menus and blue tooth sound systems, to specially created music play lists for the guests every mood ready stored in the system. Add to that the immaculate service and treats in the complimentary mini bar (believe me there was nothing mini about this bar), there literally isn’t anything else you can want for.

The Spa
After a day on the slopes there is nothing better than coming back to the hotel and having a dip in one of the many heated pools or hot tubs. Unwind in the steam rooms and saunas, both indoor and outdoor options available and if you’re really in need of some soothing help, indulge in one of the hotel incredible spa treatments.
I highly recommend the Raindrop Technique which is a rare European treatment incorporating essential oils, it’s ideal for relieving aching backs and boosting low immune systems.

A Weekend in Amsterdam at the InterContinental Amstel Hotel

Where? Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
When? August 2016
Why? Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities, with beautiful architecture, scenic waterways and of course flowers and blooms everywhere, it’s the perfect European city break destination, not to mention fantastic Instagram fodder.
So when the lovely guys at the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam asked me to stay and review their luxury hotel for the weekend, I jumped at the chance. I tried out the IHG Reward’s club European Weekend food and drink city break package, which included dinner at the Amstel Brasserie over looking the Amstel River.

The InterContinental Amstel is the oldest luxury hotel in Amsterdam. It opened its opulent doors in 1867, so this year the hotel is celebrating it’s 150th anniversary. Featuring stunning architecture, a 15 metre indoor pool and a Michelin starred restaurant overlooking the Amstel River, it’s the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam for a mini break.

Canvas rooftop bar Amsterdam

5 stylish things to do in Amsterdam

  1. Visit one of the many outdoor or rooftop bars, I love Waterkant on a sunny day or catch the lift to Canvas Bar rooftop pictured above.
  2. Go shopping on the 9 Streets and sit in a picturesque cafe by the canal side and watch life go by.
  3. Hang out in the trendy Haarlemmerstraat area, it’s Amsterdam’s hipster area filled with cool bars, cafes, boutiques and furniture shops.
  4. Visit the EYE in the north of the Amsterdam. Get the free ferry across the water, grab a coffee at the Film Institute and marvel in the futuristic architecture of this chilled out space.
  5. Pijp – head to the pretty area of Pijp in the evening, it’s where locals go to drink and hang out in the bustling street bars and cafes. (Pictured below)
Pijp area bars in amsterdamThe easiest way to get around Amsterdam is by bike, so hire one for the weekend and wander around town at your leisure.

As we enter a new year, this is the perfect time to reminisce and appreciate all of the incredible experiences that the past year has brought.  Flaubert wrote ‘Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world’. Let me start off by saying that I realise how lucky I am and by no means do I take my life and job for granted. I see each trip as an opportunity to see the world in a new light, learn from it, give back to it and become more determined to see and experience more of its beauty!

This year is the third year of my blog TheStyleTraveller.com. It’s not all jet setting and luxury though, being in so many countries and seeing such varied destinations and ways of life, can be a truly humbling experience, as well as a fulfilling one. If there is one thing I’ve learnt over the past few years, it’s not to let life slip away and I can only encourage you all to follow your dreams too.

As the end of the year draws nearer, this is the perfect time to reminisce and appreciate all of the amazing experiences that the past year has brought.  Flaubert wrote ‘Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world’. Let me start off by saying I do realise how lucky I am and by no means do I take my life and job for granted. I guess it must seem like I go on an awful lot of holidays, but I do see each trip as an opportunity to see the world in a new light, learn from it, give back to it and become more determined to see and experience more of its beauty!
This year is the second year of my blog TheStyleTraveller.com and wow what a year it has been. I often get asked how I get to go on so many amazing trips and the fact is it’s quite a mix of being invited on press trips, as well as working trips to shoot fashion stories and of course travel is my passion, so many trips are taken with friends and family. It’s not all jet setting and luxury though, being in so many countries and seeing such varied destinations and ways of life, can be a truly humbling experience as well as a fulfilling one. If there is one thing I have learnt over the past few years, it’s not to let life slip away and I can only encourage you all to follow your dreams too. Start a blog I say!!! 🙂 Here are some of my travelling highlights of 2014… Bon Voyage…
Thailand
January – Thailand & India – I started off the year with a trip to Thailand with my friend Lucy (above), we spent 3 weeks in January travelling around the islands from Koh Samui to Koh Lipe. From there I came back to London for a few days then flew straight to a family wedding in India (below). Since then the entire year has been filled with more exciting trips, beautiful destinations and fantastic experiences. To read more about my Thailand trip click here…
India

Incredible India!
Grenada

Gorgeous Grenada
February – The Caribbean – When I returned from India in February I got a rather unexpected invite to the Caribbean from the Grenada Tourist Board. I hadn’t been to The Caribbean in years, so I got on the phone to my best friend Lian and we spent an amazing week discovering the hidden gems that this tiny yet stunning island has to offer. We also made some pretty good friends while we were out there! Check out the Grenada story here…
New York
March – New York, New York – When I used to work full time for magazines, I would travel to New York regularly for shoots and work trips, I know the city very well, but doing a New York style guide is no mean feat. I’ve been many times and it’s an ever changing landscape filled with my ‘old favourite’ haunts, as well as new openings every week. So I extended my trip to ten days, split between Manhattan and Brooklyn, trying to pick an edit that was the best of old and new. Check out my 36 hour guide to New York here….
japan

April – Japan – I have always wanted to visit Japan, specifically Tokyo, ever since I was a little girl. One of my favourite books is Memoirs of a Geisha, so I added a trip to Kyoto onto my Japanese adventure. Tokyo and Kyoto fulfilled all of my expectations and surpassed them in fact. From the mania of the metropolis to the ancient customs, heritage and serenity of Kyoto, Japan was a truly mind blowing experience. I even got to dress up as a Geisha!!! (above right, yes thats me!) Bucket list ticked!  Check out my trip to Japan here…
Wilderness
The Summer Party Season – May to August
Festivals – As you my lovely readers will probably have guessed by now, as well as the luxury side of life, I do enjoy a spot of partying. As soon as the sun comes out in the UK that is the start of festival season for me. This year I was lucky enough to be invited to The Wilderness Festival by Monsoon Accessorize who were sponsoring the event. To read about our hilarious trip to Wilderness click here.
Surfing – I also always try and fit in a surfing trip to Cornwall with my friends in the summer and this year was no exception. Check out my trip to the lovely Roo’s Beach House in Watergate Bay here…
Ibiza – Ibiza is like a second home to me and this August my plan was to spend a whole month on the island, partying, relaxing, hanging out with friends and shooting fashion stories. It was my dream summer, living and working in one of my favourite places in the world. Click here to see my many posts on Ibiza – The White Isle.

Press – This year has been fantastic press-wise for TheStyleTraveller.com, from an interview on Sky News, a full page story on ‘the day in the life of TheStyleTraveller’ in Stylist Magazine to a regular StyleTraveller column for Glamour MagazineFor more press coverage stories please click here..

 September to December
Spa, Yoga, Ski – After coming back from a full on summer in Ibiza, I decided to go on a bit of a health kick. Which was handy because many of the trips I got invited to in the lead up to Xmas involved spas, detoxing, health and fitness. From an incredible week in Malaysia reviewing spas in Lanagkawi and Ipoh (with the gorgeous group of girls pictured above!), to my friend Kat’s totally blissful yoga retreat in Bilbao and the year culminating in a luxury ski trip to Meribel last week. The perfect trips to make me well and truly ready for the sofa and mince pie marathon that is Xmas!

And Finally…
It’s been an absolutely incredible year and I want to say thank you to of all the wonderful people I’ve been travelling with, new friends I’ve met along the way and everyone I’ve shared the experiences with. Love to you all and can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store….Happy New Year everyone…Bon Voyage xxx

Cuba – Havana Fashion Special

Where? Havana, Cuba

When? June 2016
Why? On my recent trip to Cuba I did a little photo shoot with some of my favourite clothing brands. I knew the streets of Havana would be a veritable gift of decadent, crumbling colonial buildings providing the perfect back drop for a fashion shoot.

Havana – What to Wear When You’re There

The colourful streets of Havana provide the perfect back drop for fashion shoots. When it comes to what to pack for a holiday, the sartorial rules in Havana are pretty relaxed. It gets quite humid during the day so breathable, natural fabrics which are comfortable are the best. But practical needn’t mean boring, pick bright bold colours to stand out against the rainbow hued buildings.
The Style Traveller Bonnie Rakhit what to wear in havana cuba

Retro silhouettes and clothing shapes look great with the quirky style, atmospheric architecture and interiors of the city. Eye wear is key, channel 50’s wayfarer and 60’s cats eye styles to look on trend and fit in with the locals. In the shoe stakes, flat or wedge heels are best as the streets are cobbled and uneven. You’ll be walking around a lot as cars don’t come into the central areas so make sure you’re comfortable.
And finally, Havana is one of the most fun, vibrant and seductive cities I have been to, so after dark don’t be afraid to get your sexy outfits on, grab a mojito and samba the night away!

The Style Traveller Ultimate Guide To Ibiza

With the closing of Space last season, one of Ibiza’s most iconic nightclubs, the winds of change are about to breeze over the White Isle. But fear not party kids, when one club closes, another inevitably Enter Hï Ibiza!
Hi Ibiza super club
But that’s not the only new kid on the block. There’s all sorts of new restaurants, bars, hotels and spas popping up all over the place. Here at Style Traveller HQ we bring you a round up every season but this summer we thought we’d gather all of years of experiences on the island to bring you the ultimate favourites, be they old, new, on or off the beaten track.
So without further a do here is The Style Traveller Ultimate Guide to Ibiza. The perfect itinerary to my favourite party place in the world.

Es Vive Hotel where to stay Boutique Ibiza

Ibiza – Best places to stay:
There are two schools of thought when deciding where to stay on the island. Am I going for a hedonistic weekend of partying or a chilled out relaxing break? For a partying trip, my all time favourite place to stay has to be the legendary boutique Hotel Es Vive! (pictured above)
Bonnie Rakhit Style Traveller at Es Vive Hotel
Situated in Figueretas, equidistant between Playa d’en Bossa (where the clubs are) and Ibiza Town, Es Vive is the perfect location to stay if you want to be close enough to the action but not in the thick of it.
Above and below: Bonnie poses on the rooftop bar at Es Vive.

With a stunning art deco facade, super chic swimming pool terrace, ‘The Experience’ an on site night club, the divine Deco restaurant, Sky Rooftop Bar and a new spa, gym and treatment rooms just opened this year, you barely need to leave the hotel! It’s my perfect place to stay if I’m here to party and hit the beach clubs, as well as absorb bit of culture and shopping too. It got voted the number #1 place to stay on the island by Tripadvisor, we can’t all be wrong!

Other noteworthy hotels The Style Traveller loves:
For a relaxing spa trip I’d head North to Atzaro (pictured above by Brett Harkness Photography) or The Giri Residences, (pictured below) these are both super chilled, luxurious, boho chic properties. You need a car to get around the island if you plan to stay here, they are in quite remote areas.
Other favourites include Pacha Destino, Cas Gasi and Can Lluc.
The Giri Residences Ibiza

This month also sees the opening of luxury, global brand Nobu (pictured above). They’re opening a 153 room and suite premium property, with 4 exclusive fine dining options (one of which is the eponymously titled signature restaurant). They also boast the islands first Six Senses Spa. I can’t wait to try this one out.

Where to eat?
There are so many amazing restaurants in Ibiza, the culinary offering on the island is exceptional for an island of this size. Old favourites of mine are KM5 where you can party the night away in a bedouin tent underneath a star filled, night sky. Fancy pan asian? then head to Bambuddha Grove where you can enjoy Thai seafood and oriental inspired dishes, sat beneath a Lobok style Balinese canopy. (pictured above).
la bodega ibiza _restaurants
One of my favourite nights out is wandering around the beautifully quaint cobbled streets of Ibiza Old Town, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Head to La Bodega (pictured above) a quintessential Spanish tapas restaurant at the foot of the Dalt Vila for affordable, great portion size, no nonsense, totally delicious tapas! It’s my favourite.
For a more chic night out try whitewashed French La Belle Restaurant, rustic ‘farm to table’ Aubergine Ibiza or Tatel a fun, speakeasy style Spanish restaurant sandwiched between Hard Rock hotel and Ushuaia. It’s the hot ticket this season.

Ibiza – The Best Beach Bars
My favourite beach area on the island is Salinas. I love the soft, white sand underfoot and all of the smaller beaches around the iconic Ibiza salt flats. For bouji cocktails, impressive salads and stylish sushi head to Jockey Club.  And if you fancy a daytime clubbing session and showing off your expensive tastes, rock up to Blue Marlin on your yacht, I know its sceney but it is fun. Dance the night away on the beach at buzzing Beach House with it’s great DJ nights.

Above: Beach clubbing with the jet set at Blue Marlin
Below: The party goes on at Beach House.
The way to tackle these clubs is to hang out by day, maybe enjoy dinner, then party till around 11 / midnight when they close. If you still have energy head back home to change, then hit the super clubs at 1am. These normally close around 5/6am.

Above: I love the super chic, Parisian vibes at Experimental Beach, it’s shabby in a very stylish way and the food is to die for. The journey to it is also spectacular, you need to drive over the salt flats to get there.

Hippy beach:
If the incessant bass line isn’t for you and you fancy a more boho spiritual experience, head to Sa Trinxa it’s The Jockey Clubs hippy neighbour, it’s a gorgeously chilled out beach if you fancy something less showy.
Or for ultimate hippy vibes catch the bongo accompanied, sunset at Benirras beach. Or watch artists live painting, live saxophonist and a band ushering out the day at Sunset Ashram (pictured below). It’s very reminiscent of the the innocent old school Ibiza.

Where to go clubbing?
After legendary night club Space, closed it’s doors last year, a new wave of fresh offerings have entered the Ibiza club scene. Newbies to look out for include Hï Ibiza! In the same venue as the Space  but completely renovated. With a state of the art sound system, mesmerising LED screens and kinetic ceiling displays, Hï Ibiza promises to be the brand new axis of fun on the island.
pacha-solomun- ibiza best night clubspacha-solomun- ibiza best night clubs
Opposite the road don’t forget Ushuaia. And the original Ibiza establishment, Pacha is still as great as ever, especially with Solomun taking up Sunday night residency again this year. (pictured above)
New for this season I would recommend Rudimental and Chase & Status’ residency at Together at Amnesia on Tuesdays. And for two special dates only this season, the don of the decks, Carl Cox is hosting ‘Pure’ nights at Privilege on the 11th and 18th July, not to be missed if you’re there!

Oh and don’t forget my favourite London DJ Jamie Jones & Friends, Paradise at DC10, this is one for the hard core clubbers though, so be warned.

Ibiza – what to do in the day
One of the most indulgent activities on the island, is hiring a yacht for the day and sailing to the idyllic, crystal clear waters of Formentera. But forget the trashy party boat scene, we are talking the ultimate, exclusive experience here! Having just added 15 new boats to their fleet, Smart Charter Ibiza is a one-stop shop for the best luxury boats in the Balearics. With prices from 520€ for a 9 man vessel to 15,000€ euros for the ultimate yacht, it’s more attainable than might think. There’s a few new lunch spots on Formentera too, check out Chezz Gerdi or Beso Beach, then spend the afternoon basking in the sublime warm waters. It’s the most perfectly blissful day!

Staying at Taj Lake Palace Hotel, Udaipur – Octopussy’s Lair

Exactly? Udaipur, India
When? March 2019
Why? As the first leg on my grand, luxury tour of Rajasthan, India, I was lucky enough to be invited to the world famous Taj Lake Palace Hotel for a two night stay. This hotel has been on my wish list for years, so I can’t tell you how excited I was.

Famed as the film set for the 1983 James Bond classic movie Octopussy, the palace has also hosted hundreds of dignitaries and celebrities over the years. From Jackie Kennedy to Hilary Clinton, Brad and Angelina to Queen Elizabeth II and practically every countries royal family to date, so you’ll be in good company.

The Lake Palace
Glimmering in the middle of serene Lake Pichola like a marble mothership, the world famous Lake Palace Hotel began its illustrious life as the ‘pleasure palace’ of one India’s most lavish kings, Maharaja Jagat Singh II, to host his sumptuous and decadent parties.
Taj Lake Palace spectacular India's best luxury hotels
Built in 1746 it was one of the first palaces in the world to be built on water. Using specially advanced engineering skills by even todays standards let alone in the 1700s, it was a pioneering bastion of Indian architecture and is today a treasured heritage landmark.
Taj Lake palace bedrooms and suites
Comprised of 83 intricately decorated suites and rooms all positioned around the vibrant central water garden courtyard, every view and corner of this palace is exquisitely designed. It truly is one of the most magical and spectacular hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The Rooms
We were extremely lucky to be able to stay in the Udai Mahal Suite (pictured above), the Kings private bed chamber when the palace was originally build. The floor space in this room is extensive, you can fit a regular sized London flat into the bathroom alone!
With a huge entertaining space comprising of dining room, sitting room and cushioned window seats area, there’s a large open space in the middle for musicians and dancers who would have performed for Maharajas by candlelight.

Soft furnishings are made of sumptuous silk, walls are made with marble and surfaces are heavily decorated with intricate engraving, embossed jewels and hand carved lattice work. The windows in the room are coloured with stained glass imported from Murano in Italy, which back in the 1700s was quite the talking point.

Food and Drink
With a choice of three renowned restaurants, an excellent bar and great room service there are plenty of great dining options at the hotel. We dined at the Jharokha restaurant with outdoor seating in the water garden for breakfasts and all day dining. The view (pictured above) was dreamy.
The authentic Indian restaurant Neel Kamal, meaning blue lotus is the best Indian restaurant in Udaipur. It serves a fantastic array of Rajasthani and local specialities accompanied by traditional musicians.

Or for a special occasion head to the al fresco rooftop restaurant for candle lit romantic vibes and spectacular sunset views of the city. We were extremely lucky to be hosted for a special candlelit dinner in the water garden prepared especially for us.

The picture perfect swimming pool at the Lake Palace has been voted the most beautiful pool in the world several times over and I can see exactly why. The turquoise pool area is cornered by hot tubs, adjacent to the gym and the Jiva Spa, which altogether offers the perfect wellness area.

Populer Caribbean, 10 Reasons to go to The Cayman Islands Caribbean

Top 10 The Cayman Islands Caribbean

10 Reasons to go to The Cayman Islands Caribbean

Where? The Cayman Islands in the Caribbean

Exactly? We stayed at the trendy new Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, the beautiful eco boutique hotel Le Soleil d’Or on Cayman Braque and our final stop was colourful and rustic Southern Cross Club on Little Cayman.
Why? This month I was super lucky to be invited on a luxury trip to the Cayman Islands by the Cayman Island Department of Tourism. We stayed 4 nights on the main island, Grand Cayman, then took the mini (about half an hour each way) connecting flights over to picturesque sister Island cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
Bonnie rakhit The style Traveller Cayman Islands what to wear in the caribbean
We flew with British Airways to George Town, Barbados then on to Grand Cayman. The flight took around 11 hours in total.
Best time to go? The Caribbean is warm all year round, but peak season is the winter months from December to April. Try and avoid September and October which is hurricane season.

When I got the invite I have to admit, I had heard of the Cayman Islands before but didn’t really know where they were. I love the Caribbean and have travelled around the islands quite extensively, so I was curious to find out what The Caymans had to offer.

Keep scrolling to see my photo diary of my trip to the Caymans….

Cayman Islands boat trip Cayman Islands Sting ray city

1) Visit Sting Ray City

On our first day we chartered a gorgeous yacht and sailed to Sting Ray City, a shallow sand bank about half an hour off the main land and home to these spectacular and majestic creatures.
Bonnie The style Traveller Cayman Islands Sting ray city
I was a little cautious to begin with but our lovely crew from Cayman Luxury Charter actually got in the water first and enticed (with food) the sting rays over to us to play.
It was such an incredible experience, they are beautiful graceful creatures and really not that scary at all. You can even stroke them gently under the expert guidance of the crew. Apparently if you kiss them you get 7 years good luck… so I did! And I’m feeling lucky already!

JW Marriot Beach house Cayman islands Anchor & Den sunday brunch
We stayed at the recently refurbished Grand Cayman Marriott Beach House. I know you’re probably thinking that’s a bit of a chainy, business hotel for The Style Traveller, I did too, but this particular Caribbean Marriott offering had an altogether much younger, trendier vibe.

grand cayman marriott beach house interiors

The decor was very chic with sleek, geometric, modern furnishings and interiors. Cool multi framed photo wall art installations, DJs spinning chilled out house tunes in the high ceiling atrium, a fresh juice and food-on-the-go bar in the foyer and great Wifi thoughout the resort.
There’s quite a fun, ‘clubby’ vibe about the hotel in general, it seems like they designed and created everything from the branding to the plates of food to the daytime beach coconut bar which becomes a ‘smores’ bar with real fire by night, all with Instagram in mind!
JW Marriot Beach house Cayman islands Anchor & Den Seafood Platter
But the ‘piece de resistance at the hotel is the Sunday Brunch at Anchor & Den Restaurant. Sunday Brunch is a bit of a ‘thing’ on Grand Cayman and one of the best places to experience it is at the Marriott Beach House.
Check out my seafood platter above, if that doesn’t sell it to you maybe the bottomless champagne and ridiculously expansive all-you-can-eat buffet including sushi bar, breakfast, Sunday roast and egg station will. Just make sure you arrive hungry!

The prettiest place on the island to chill out, have lunch and enjoy everything the beach has to offer. Indulge in water sports, beach volley ball, snorkelling, swimming or just chill out in the sun with a good old fashioned rum cocktail or two!

Situated in the lush tropical forrest in the North of the island is Grand Cayman’s oldest geological site and newest tourist attraction. Take a hour or two to venture deep into the islands subterranean territory to discover stalactites, stalagmites, natural crystals in the earth’s surface and mesmerising underwater lakes. It a lovely morning or afternoon activity.

After all of that adventure we needed a chill out break, so we checked in to the new Kimpton Seafire Spa and indulged in some pampering treatments. From massages, a purpose built hammam room, pedis, manis, salon, beauty treatments to personal trainers and state of the art fitness centre, the Kimpton Seafire has everything you need to make you look and feel fabulous.
Post our spa trip they treated us to a cabana by the gorgeous pool for the afternoon fully kitted out with tanning butler, fresh fruit, champagne, mini fridge with water and drinks, what more can a girl ask for!

We spent a lovely evening sailing out to sea to experience the Caribbean sunset in all its glory. Watch the golden sun set over the horizon whilst quaffing champagne on board this gorgeous catamaran.

7 Horse riding on the beach with Spirit of the West
Perhaps one of my favourite activities on the whole trip was going horse riding along the beach and then going bareback riding into the sea. I’ve never done this before but I can safely say it’s one of the most fun and liberating experiences I’ve ever had.
Riding along with the others by the serene sea, the sun beating down on your back and the water splashing on your legs and the horse literally swimming with you on its back. It felt so natural and wonderfully free. I’ve never really been horse riding properly before but it’s fine for all levels and I highly recommend it.

8 Visit Cayman Brac
We took a very mini half hour flight over from Grand Cayman to peaceful Cayman Brac. The island is full of beautiful, natural rugged terrain. To give you an idea of how quiet it is there are actually more Iguanas on the island then there are humans.
We stayed at the sustainable, super-chic, eco,  boutique hotel Soleil d’Or. On arrival they took us on a drive of their incredible farm which produces the majority of the meals served at the garden kitchen restaurant. We saw mangos, star fruits, pineapples and more all growing in their natural habitat. Then we ate them for dinner!
Cayman islands restaurants where to eat
The vibe on Cayman Brac is all about chilling out, eating healthily and well being. I loved it. The hotel itself is super chic, whitewashed colonial retreat. We stayed in the beach house down the road with our own private swimming pool. The whole experience on Cayman Brac was super chilled out and utterly blissful. Perfect if you really want to get away from it all.

9 Visit Little Cayman
Our last stop on our week long tour of the Cayman Islands was perhaps my favourite stop of all. Little Cayman is like a tiny cast away island with very little to do except be at one with nature and enjoy all that the sea and the beaches has to offer.
We relaxed in the stunning and rustic, colourful beach houses of the Southern Cross Club. It’s more shabby chic than luxury, but it just made me like it even more.
Caribbean holiday squad goals girls
Above me and the girls saluting the sea!!
We did photoshoots, paddle boarding and snorkelling. My highlight was that I saw a turtle for the first time, so we quietly swam alongside him, he didn’t seem to mind.
After the beach we headed back to our beach houses and got ready for dinner. It’s so quiet and charming here, you really feel as though you’re going back to nature. I love Little Cayman.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the beautiful hotels we got to stay in along the way, including the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach House, the Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa, as well as the Soleil D’or on Cayman Brac and The Southern Cross Club on Little Cayman.
Also a ginormous thank you to wonderful Rose and the tourist board for organising such an incredible trip, it really is one of my all time favourites. I can’t wait to visit again soon!
